News & NotesFree Notary Services Did you know there's free notary public service for members available at many AAA branches? AAA Auto Club South has 240 notaries in 68 branches who provide the service to AAA members. This convenient service can save members not only time, but money—from $3 to $10 per page, depending on whom you would have to see to get your document notarized (bank, realtor, individual, etc.). The broad range of documents we currently notarize includes auto loans, marriage licenses, last will and testaments, powers of attorney, and more. We do not sell or rent non-public personal information about our members or former members, nor do we share this information with companies outside of AAA, except as required or expressly permitted by law. Sources from which we may collect such information include applications or other forms; your transactions with us, our affiliates or others; services you have received from us, our affiliates or others; government sources, such as your driving record and claims history (insurance clients); and non-government sources, such as demographic data used for marketing purposes. We may disclose such information to organizations within or outside of AAA, including corporate affiliates and subsidiaries; other AAA clubs; the AAA National Office; AAA Emergency Road Service contractors; AAA approved repair facilities; other AAA service providers and independent contractors; government agencies; and companies with whom we have joint marketing agreements. Information will normally be limited to name, address, telephone number, membership or customer number, and Club tenure. In some cases, additional information will be provided with your consent or at your direction, such as when you apply for a loan or request a quote for insurance. Information will also be disclosed if necessary to provide a benefit or service that you have requested or authorized, and may include the description, location and tag number of your vehicle, as well as your telephone contact number or other information needed to provide you with Emergency Road Service. We restrict access to non-public personal information to those employees who need such information to provide products or services to our members. In compliance with federal regulations, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to prevent misuse of this information. Notice to Members: As of July 3, 2006, AAA Auto Club South increased its Plus membership dues by a nominal $2 for AAA Plus primary and associate members. This adjustment was necessary to maintain the quality and scope of AAA services. Medical Rider Option: Your AAA membership renewal billing will include an additional (optional) $6 per member to protect you with the $1100 Optional Medical Rider. This rider provides an additional $1100 for medical treatment for injuries caused by an accident covered under your personal accident policy. To better serve our members and the rapid growth in Broward County, we are pleased to announce the opening this fall of a new AAA branch office in Pembroke Pines. In addition, we will be relocating our Lauderhill branch operations to the Plantation area. In Dade County, our South Miami branch office soon will have a new address on S. Dixie Highway; and in Orlando, look for a new, insurance agency-only office in Waterford Lakes. Members in the New Tampa area of Hillsborough County now have their own full-service branch office.
