Since its inception in 1998, "Tow to Go" has safely removed more than 11,400 drunk drivers from the roads.
- FREE and open to both AAA members and non-members (100% confidential)
- Call 1-800-AAA-HELP — the call will be directed to a ERS Call Center
- The AAA tow truck takes the vehicle and the driver safely home

Program History

AAA Auto Club South and Gold Coast Eagle Distributors, Inc. teamed up in Manatee County to offer the Tow to Go between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve in Bradenton/Palmetto in 1998.

Purpose
|

This program is designed to protect both the intoxicated driver and the motoring public from avoidable car crashes.

Coverage Areas
|
|
Tow to Go program is available throughout Florida, Georgia, and Western two-thirds of Tennessee.

2009 Call Volume
|
|
In 2009, AAA Auto Club South received 1,600 calls. Since the program's inception, over 11,400 intoxicated drivers have decided to use Tow to Go vs. getting behind the wheel when their sobriety was in question.
